Response to Intervention: In collaboration with the Northeast Regional Resource Center (NERRC), the National Center on Response to Intervention, the New England Equity Assistance Center, and the Regional Parent Technical Assistance Center, NECC is providing opportunities for state education leaders to learn about Response to Intervention (RTI) as an approach to district and school improvement. Because of its focus on prevention and targeted instruction supports, RTI is endorsed by the Individuals for Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) as a strategy for preventing learning difficulties and premature or inaccurate special needs diagnoses.
